Jennifer A. Jones, CPA, MBA is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the AICPA’s Private Companies Practice section and the AICPA’s Tax Practice section. She has been in public accounting for over twenty five years. Jenny received her Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance at George Mason University. She was named a National Winner of the Small Business Institute Case of the Year by the US Small Business Administration 1989/1990. She is also enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.

Certified Public Accountant licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 1985 Jennifer successfully passed all sections of the CPA examination on the first test: an accomplishment achieved by less than 10% of all Certified Public Accountants.

Accreditation in Accountancy received from the National Society of Public Accountants in 1985.

Enrolled Agent recognized by the Internal Revenue Service to represent taxpayers at all administrative levels. In 1983, Jennifer successfully passed all sections of the Enrolled Agent examination on the first test. This test is a two day examination on tax law and IRS procedures, and has a lower passing rate than the CPA exam.

Continuing Professional Education

Professional organizations, Virginia State Board of Accountancy, and the Internal Revenue Service have minimum continuing education requirements for membership and licensing. These requirements include a minimum of sixteen credits per year in accounting and auditing topics and sixteen credits per year in tax related topics.
